Robert Lee has been Chair of the Board of Directors for over 13 years. Robert Lee is the Senior Vice President and Creative Director at Global Strategy Group, where he leads creative strategy for Fortune 500, The L@B (GSG’s in-house creative and digital agency), as well as startups and issue advocacy clients. Robert was formerly Senior Vice President and Global Creative Director at Newsweek; he has also served as Vice President and Creative Director at Kenneth Cole and at Publicis NY, where he’s best known for his work building the Champion athletics brand. Robert created Capital One’s now-famous tagline “What’s in your wallet?”. He has worked for Donna Karan on her philanthropy, Urban Zen Foundation, and other brands including Ralph Lauren, Microsoft, and BMW. Robert has directed a music magazine with Craig Tilford, former art director of the seminal UK publication The FACE, and is the founder of Howl Group, an advertising/design collective in Brooklyn. Robert received his BA from Rutgers College in New Brunswick, NJ.


Kelly Morris has been a member of the board of directors for over 12 years. She is the owner of Conquering Lion Yoga, which boasts one of NYC's most successful yoga teacher trainings. She also owns Infinity Call, a revolutionary guided meditation service. She has been touted by New York Magazine and The New York Times as one of NYC’s premiere yoga instructors.

Marc Murphy has been a member of the board of directors for over 10 years. He is a New York Times acclaimed celebrity chef who owns Benchmarc Restaurants, which include the Ditch Plains and Landmarc Restaurants of New York. His latest endeavors include the opening of Marc179, a bistro and bar in Manhattan. Marc is a judge on the Food Network’s TV show “Chopped”, and has product collaborations with several acclaimed culinary brands, including Burlap & Barrel Spices and Chocolat Moderne.

Michael Winsch has been a member of the board of directors for over 9 years. He is owner of the Mercury Lounge and Bowery Ballroom, iconic live music venues in Manhattan.


George Karafotias is in a new member of the DASSdance board of directors. George is a partner in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Shearman and Sterling, a global law firm based in NYC. He has extensive experience in US and cross-border M & A transactions, advising clients on public company transactions, spin-offs, going private transactions, consortium bids, private M & A transactions, joint ventures and strategic investments.  He regularly works closely with boards, special committees and senior management on their most complex and strategically significant transactions. George also advises clients on corporate governance and compliance related matters. He has experience across a wide range of industry sectors, including mining and metals, industrials, infrastructure, healthcare, food and agriculture, shipping and transportation, sport and financial services.

Danielle Wilkins is a founding member of DASSdance and has been a member of the board of directors for over 8 years. Danielle holds a BFA from The Hartt School at the University of Hartford and is currently the Program Director at Issaquah Dance Theatre.


Daniel Wilkins has been a member of the board since its inception in 2000 and is the founding Artistic Director of DASSdance.
