Important Information

Companies/studios may submit one ensemble work (3-6 min in length) for their Jr dancers (ages 9-11) AND one ensemble work (3-6 min in length) for Sr dancers (ages 12+)

IN ADDITION, participating companies/studios may also submit one duo, trio, or additional ensemble work (2-3 min in length)

All performers must be signed up for master classes on the day they perform (though we encourage dancers to take both days of classes!)

Dancers who do not wish to perform are still more than welcome to register for one or both days of classes, and can attend the evening's performance at no additional cost
SoloSpree Information

SoloSpree will showcase a number of solos overlapping every minute with a finale at the end. Solos should be at most 2 minutes long. Studios/companies may submit one solo per day.

Shannon Adams, our Master Teacher for Jazz, will be directing the SoloSpree. She will put together a music mix inspired by the original music of the solos.

Solo dancers will have a special 1 hour rehearsal during Tech time to put the solos together, creating transitions and a finale.

SoloSpree participants must be good at working with others and ready for the challenge to learn from others and create something new together.

Shannon Adams
Shannon Adams has been a company member with DASSdance since 2018. Growing up, she danced competitively, and studied Korean folk dance, modern, jazz, and ballet. She has had opportunities to train with EDGE Dance Studio, Broadway Dance Center, Dance New Amsterdam, The Joffrey Ballet School, American Dance Festival, The School at Jacob’s Pillow, and more. Shannon graduated Cum Laude from the University of Utah in 2004 with a BFA in Modern Dance. Throughout her time in college, she worked with artists including Brent Schneider, David Dorfman, and Faye Driscoll. Shannon has been a teaching artist for 25 years, and loves the opportunity to develop artistry in her students.

Dammiel Cruz-Garrido
Dammiel Cruz is from Queens, New York. He studied on full scholarship at the School of American Ballet and Pacific Northwest Ballet School, and he attended summer courses at Pacific Northwest Ballet School and Boston Ballet. He was the recipient of the Mae. L. Wien Award and Danish American Nationals Cultural Exchange (DANCE) scholarship. Mr. Cruz joined Pacific Northwest Ballet as an apprentice in 2016 and was promoted to corps de ballet later that year. He became a soloist in 2022. This is Dammiel's fourth year as a Master Teacher at All-4-1 DANCEPALOOZA.

Alvedo Hobson
In 2000, Alvedo was discovered by the late Kabby Mitchell and made his professional debut in Black Nativity. At the age of 19, Alvedo was selected to co-choreograph The Wiz at Seattle's Paramount Theatre. Mr. Hobson attended Howard University, minoring in dance and theatre arts, where he received a B.A degree. Alvedo then furthered his career as a professional dancer in Los Angeles, working with legendary hip-Hop choreographers such as Fatima Robinson, the Talauega Brothers, and performed with Usher, John Legend and Lady Gaga, to name a few, and has danced for Haitian and Congolese companies Fua Dia Congo and Ra-Ra Toulimen. Alvedo is thrilled to be back where it all started, with an opportunity to give back to the Seattle black arts community that poured into his development as a performer.

Alyssa-Marie Muña
This is Alyssa-Marie Muña’s first season as a DASSdance company member, and she is also currently in her second season with Peninsula Ballet Theatre. She grew up training with Ayako School of Ballet and Peninsula Youth Ballet. In 2019, she began studying with the School of International Ballet, and over the years has also attended programs with American Ballet Theatre, Ballet Manila, University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and Joffrey Ballet School.

Jill Marissa
Jill Marissa is a veteran of the Seattle circus world and has been coaching and performing aerial and ground acro for 14 years at schools such as DASSdance, Versatile Arts and Emerald City Trapeze. A former competitive gymnast and professional dancer, Jill is a life-long practitioner of movement arts. While performing on contract in a Variete theater in Germany with the Aerialistas, she was fortunate to work with Elena Borodina, a world-renowned hand balancer who introduced her to the art of hand balancing. She fell in love with the discipline and has received coaching from Andrii Bondarenko of Cirque du Soleil, among others. Her coaching style is grounded in solid technique that will give students a foundation to move into challenging acro skills with confidence.

Emma Patty-Caldwell
Emma started her dance journey at the age of three with her twin sister at Island Dance, where she also danced pre-professionally with their company. Emma attended The University of Missouri - Kansas City, where she received her BFA in Dance and Performance/Choreography with the Conservatory working with many notable artists including DeeAnna Hiett, Gary Abbott, Michael Blake, Karen Brown, Ronald Tice, and Tempe Ostergren. Emma has performed many principal roles, in both classical and contemporary works, finishing her senior year performing the lead role in the ballet "Paquita". While in Kansas City, Emma performed professionally with many artists and organizations, as well as choreographed small works for both the UMKC Conservatory, and other gatherings. Emma continues her professional career guesting, teaching, and choreographing in Washington.

Phoenix Wilkins
Phoenix Wilkins is in his second season with Peninsula Ballet Theatre where he performed the role of Mozart in Mozart's Requium among other principle roles. Phoenix has danced for 3 seasons with DASSdance Co. performing in the premiere of 19 Stories and Tough Roots both in Seattle and NYC. Phoenix trained at DASSdance School from the age of 7 until graduation where he was featured as the Prince in Swan Lake REMIX. After graduating, Phoenix attended the professional training program with State Street Ballet where he performed in A Midsummer Night's Dream with the professional company. In addition to dancing featured roles, his choreography was selected to perform in the graduation performance at Center Stage Theater. Mr. Wilkins has also trained with artists including Donald Byrd, Alonzo King, and Stephanie Saland.
