Each class begins with an energetic warm-up followed by stretching and strength-building exercises that develop coordination and body awareness. I will help your child build a solid foundation of basic acro skills including rolls, cartwheels, bridges, and supported handstands, then progress to more challenging skills such as front and back walkovers, one-handed cartwheels, and solo handstands once they are ready. Focus is on safe technique, building confidence and having fun!
What to wear and bring
We encourage each dancer to wear tight fitting and comfortable clothes, ie. leotards, leggings. We discourage dancers from wearing clothes that are too loose or may get in the way if the dancer is going upside down or tumbling. Shoes are not required for acro classes. Water bottles are also recommended.
