Christina Cooley
grew up in Auburn and trained with Wade Wathall at Evergreen City Ballet. She also studied at Pacific Northwest Ballet, Summer Dance Labs, The Rock School of Pennsylvania, and Joffrey New York. She continued her training at Joffrey New York before joining Spectrum Dance Theater and then DASSdance. Christina serves as the Community Integrations Director and is in her fourth season with DASSdance.



 
Dade Glaser
started tap dancing at British Dancing Academy when he was four and started ballet when he was in 7th grade. In high school he trained at the Evergreen City Ballet in ballet, modern, and hip-hop. In his three-year tenure he preformed in many roles such as Russian, Arabian, and Caviler in The Nutcracker and Benno in Swan Lake. He also performed in Cinderella, and Giselle as well as other works created by Wade Walthall, and Kevin Kaiser. In the summer of 2006 he attended a summer intensive at Pittsburgh Ballet Theater. He is currently a student at the University of Washington. Dade is in his second season with DASSdance.

 
TaeJae Johnson
started dancing in Phoenix Arizona studying jazz, tap, and hip-hop. TeaJae has danced with such groups as Phoenix Mercury hip-hop Squad, Desert Dance Theater, and Ballet Arizona. He had the honor of dancing in Super Bowl 30 and for Alice Cooper. TeaJae choreographed for the Phoenix Suns cheerleaders after which he moved to Miami to dance for Royal Caribbean Cruise line and many Latin TV shows as well as Miami City Ballet. TeaJae is in his third season with DASSdance.

 
Ahnaleza Vandermay
a Seattle native, received her training at Tanz Academy Zurich (Zurich, Switzerland). At Tanz she had the pleasure of training under directors Oliver Matz and Steffi Scherzer and graduated from the school in 2006 with the Diplom Buhnentanz der Schweizerischen Ballettberufsschule. Ahnaleza has also studied with Atlanta Ballet, Houston Dance Academy, Boston Ballet, Chicago Ballet, Tanya Pierson (Sydney, Aus), Joel Hall Dance Center, and Complexions. Professionally, Ahnaleza has performed with Ballet der Grazer Oper (Austria), the musical Johnas and Madeline (Switzerland), Ballet Bellevue, and as a semi-finalist in the Genee International Ballet Competition (Greece). After last years season as apprentice, Ahnaleza now joins DASSdance as a full company member.

 
Danielle Wilkins
is from Kentucky where she trained for ten years at the Louisville Ballet. She received her BFA degree from the University of Hartford Hartt School of Music, during which she performed at the Kennedy Center as a soloist in Jean Grand Maitre's Uroborus. Danielle has worked professionally with Rebecca Kelly Ballet, Mary Seidman and Dancers, Mimi Garrard Dance Company, Steven Koplowitz, Marco Carrabba, Thought Forms Dance Company, and Spectrum Dance Theater, most recently appearing in the 5th Avenue Theater's production of West Side Story and the Seattle Opera's Pearl Fishers. Danielle serves as the Company Manager and Rehearsal Director and is in her eleventh season with DASSdance.

 
Isaiah Sumler
is a native of Tacoma ,and has attended  the Washington Contemporary Ballet (WCB), the Jo Emery Ballet and Evergreen City Ballet (ECB). Isaiah has performed with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater for their 50th anniversary of the production, “Memoria”, as well as working with the Creative Outlet Dance Theater, Brooklyn New York. Isaiah has performed such roles as Blue Bird in ECB’s production of Sleeping Beauty, as well as Cavalier in WCB’s The Nutcracker. Isaiah has studied under the direction of Tony award winning choreographer, George Faison of “The Wiz”. This is his first season dancing for DASSdance .

 
Amy Jones
began dancing at the age of three. She grew up dancing competitively for 15 years over the course of which she has won several awards and titles including Jr. Miss and Miss Dance of the Pacific Northwest. She also won scholarships to train in Los Angeles at Tremaine Dance Center and The Edge. In 1996 she moved to LA where she trained for two years in the World Arts and Cultures department at UCLA before moving to New York to dance at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center. Amy performed with the Fred Benjamin Dance Company for 2 years then moved on to tour nationally with the Forces of Nature Dance Theatre Company for 3 years. She has now been teaching at Studio One in Woodinville, Wa since 2007 where she choreographs for the jazz and lyrical dance teams and takes her dancers to compete locally and nationally at several competitions throughout the year. This is Amy’s first season with DASSdance.

 
Katelyn Candelario
grew up on beautiful Whidbey Island where she received her early training at Island Dance and performed 6 seasons with Whidbey Island Dance Theatre.  She spent her summers at several intensives including Boston Ballet’s DanceLab, and American Ballet Theatre.  Katelyn recently graduated from the University of Arizona School Of Dance where she earned her Bachelors of Fine Arts degree and performed with the UA Dance Ensemble. Although she misses the Arizona sunshine, she is excited to be back in the northwest enjoying her first season with DASSDance.

 
Julian Young
Julian Young started dancing at Santa Barbara City College at the age of nineteen under the instruction of Pamela Lappen, Jennifer Seigle, Matthew Nealson and Kay Fulton. He continued his studies at the University Of California, Santa Barbara Before moving to Seattle,WA to Attend Cornish College Of The Arts. At Cornish, Julian has trained in both ballet and modern under Pat Hon, Michelle Miller, Lodi McClellan, Wade Madsen, Deborah Wolf and Steve Casteel. He has performed as a soloist with Opera Pacifica, a guest soloist with the Santa Barbara Dance Theatre and a guest artist with the Evergreen City Ballet. Julian is in his first season as an apprentice with DASSdance.

 
Graham Vanderwood
Graham Vanderwood grew up on Whidbey Island, Washington. He began tap and jazz at the age of six, and hip hop when he was twelve. He has performed across the west coast with groups including Potion, Cruz Control, Butch Queens Entertainment Group, and is founder and choreographer of his own group Solid. Graham performed in Whidbey Island Dance Theater’s The Nutcracker as the Nutcracker and the Prince. He has worked with choreographers such as Cameron Lee, Daniel Cruz, and Ivan Koumaev. Graham has taught since age fifteen at Island Dance, Omeara's Dance Studio, Westlake Dance Center, and the HUB. He choreographed for the Nutcracker, the Rocky Horror Show, Island Dance Competition Team, and directed and choreographed Other Moves in 2009. Graham joins DASSdance this year as an apprentice.
